Milestones

Andrew has hit a few milestones recently. One is rolling over. He has been working on this for a few weeks and he finally went all the way over. Once he gets on his belly he is not quite sure what to do and then gets frustrated that he can't get back onto his back. The other milestone is laughing. It is the sweetest sound I've ever heard. His favorite thing to laugh at are ceiling fans. These entertain him for a long time...easy and cheap entertainment! He also laughs at random things...the wine rack, trees, daddy doing dishes. I would love to get inside his head and see what he's thinking.
"So this is what it looks like lying on your stomach. Not much to see."

"I'm so proud of myself. Now what do I do?"

"Ha ha ha! Life's good!"

Shout Out to Colorado

We have some family friends that live in Colorado, the Thompson family. They were kind enough to give Andrew a blanket and hat with the CO teams' logos on them. I thought they would appreciate Andrew wearing them at least once (and only once). So here is a picture of Andrew in the CO Rockies hat and Denver Broncos blanket. This is a once in a lifetime picture so enjoy while it lasts. Thanks Roger and Carole! By the way, I had to do this while Rob was gone because I don't think he would allow this.

I had to sneak this one in here. Notice which picture he is smiling in! :-)

Story Time

One of Andrew's favorite things to do is read books. I hope this is something he still likes once he gets to school. Being a teacher I see so many kids that don't like to read. Even Rob and I are not big readers, but hopefully our son will be. Andrew likes books with big, bright pictures and rhyming words. His favorites are "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" and "Goodnight Moon" and Elmo books. Rob and I love reading to him because he is so responsive. Keep on reading big boy!

4th of July

We enjoyed our 4th of July at a friend's block party. There was a parade, a cake walk, a water balloon toss, fireworks, and a BBQ. Andrew had a long but fun day!

Andrew is ready for his first 4th of July...check out the outfit!

Andrew took part in his first parade. All the kids decorated their bicycles and we decorated our stroller with flags and balloons.

Hangin' out with his friend Gianna.

"Boy I'm having a great 4th of July! What a fun holiday. I got to watch daddy in a water balloon contest and he got soaking wet!"

Watching the fireworks. Andrew slept through most of it. What a great day!
