Party at Andrew's

As a part of the Mommies Club that I'm in, we have play dates at each others' houses. Well, it was our turn. Holy cow! I had no idea our little condo could fit so many people! The kids had a great time playing with all of Andrew's toys and the moms enjoyed eating food and watching the kids have fun. After they all left there was quite a mess to clean but it was worth it. Will I ever do it again?? We'll see!
Look at all the mommies and kids. What a great group!

By the end of the play date, every toy was out of the cubbies and on the floor.

Andrew and his friend Ryan looking out the window at the birds. Andrew is real close to saying "bird."

"Woo Hoo! Party at my house!!"

Fun in the Sun

We have been enjoying our beautiful weather by spending some time outside. Today we went to the Irvine Spectrum, ate lunch and played in the fountain. Andrew loves water so he had a blast splashing and watching the water shoot up from the ground. I was thinking though that bald boy needs to grow some hair otherwise he is going to have one tan head. Wearing a hat is not an option for most kids and Andrew is no exception. Andrew's love of water is going to make our summer real easy.
Splashies!!

" Hmmm...where did it go?"

"Ahh, there it is!"

He would fill up the bucket with the water from the turtles mouth and then dump it out and then do it all again.

10 Months Old

Andrew had his 10 month pictures taken. As always, it was an experience. It takes him a while to warm up to the crazy lady behind the camera that is making all sorts of strange noises and faces at him. And when that doesn't work she gets out the props. Eventually he thinks it's funny and gives a smile. Here are some of the pictures we got.

The Zoo

We went to a small local zoo to see all the animals. Overall, Andrew was much more interested in the trees and the waterfalls. The only animals he really looked at were the ones that moved and as you know most animals in a zoo don't move.
Chickens!
Giant pig. Oink! Oink!

Playing on the turtle. The tongue is a new thing.

Exploring

Typical boy, loves to explore. He seems to be getting into everything these days so having a big box to play with was so much fun!

Mohawk Man!

Andrew has developed a lot these past 10 months, but one thing he is still a little slow at is growing hair. As you can see he is trying real hard and he even has enough for a mohawk! Eat your heart out Pax Pitt-Jolie!

Park Play Days

The mommies club that I am in goes to a park once a week. Now that Andrew is getting a lot more mobile, he is able to enjoy more activities. He likes the swing, bubbles, and crawling through the play structures. It's fun to watch him grow and enjoy the park play dates.

Even though it's difficult to tell in this picture, Andrew loves being on the swing.

Enjoying his snack.

Playing in the bars. This was a blast for him!

Quack! Quack! Ducks everywhere. We went to a park with a lake and lots of ducks. We fed them and that was a treat for Andrew.

"Hmm...how can I get up there?" Watching the big kids play.

Goodman Look-alike Meter

This "Look-alike Meter" looks very interesting but I wanted to see how accurate it really is. The first picture is of Andrew and he looks more like his mom by 3%. The next picture down is of Rob when he was little and what do you know...he looks equally like himself and me! The third picture down is of me when I was little and same thing...I look equally like myself and Rob! My experiment proves true, this thing is a hoax. But it sure was fun playing with. Try it with your family and see the results.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We hope you all enjoyed your Christmas with your friends and family. Christmas this year had a very different meaning to it with Andrew. Children make it so much more special and fun! He had a wonderful two days of celebration. He thoroughly enjoyed opening presents and playing with bows, boxes and paper. The toys were okay, but there is something about the packaging that is so exciting.

Just waking up and looking at all the presents Santa left.

"I can't believe all these presents are for me! I must have been good this year."

"Whoopee! Opening presents is the most fun I've ever had!"

Opening more presents at Grandma and Grandpa's. "Thanks Grandma for the box. I love it!"

Uncle Kenny teaching me how to put the shapes in the right hole.

We are so happy he was able to come home from Japan to celebrate Christmas with us.

"Look at me Garanddi and Grandma...I'm driving!"

Merry Christmas!! May God bless you in 2008!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Granddi's house. We enjoyed a very nice dinner and then opened some presents. Santa was very good to us this year!

Grandpa reading The Night Before Christmas to Andrew. This is a tradition his grandma did for him every Christmas Eve.

Opening one of the many gifts.

Getting up close and personal with Elmo.

Thanks Granddi for a special Christmas Eve!

Let Christmas Begin...

Christmas started a few days early for Andrew. He received a gift from Grandma Patty that he absolutely loves. Rob and I go to bed singing the words to the song but Andrew loves it and I guess that's all that counts.
"Thanks Grandma for my present. Ripping it open was so fun!"

"I love bows!"

Irvine Park Railroad

We took a trip to the Irvine Park Railroad Christmas Train with some friends of ours. After waiting in line for almost two hours, we finally got on the train adorned with lights and took a ride up to Santa's Village. We decided not to wait in line to meet Santa because it would probably be a big screaming fit anyway. Andrew is not real good with strangers and I don't think a big guy with a white beard dressed in red is too inviting. We enjoyed some hot chocolate and all the lights. On the way back to the station we went through a tunnel of lights...lots of fun for little eyes. It was a fun night to remember.
